The Acoustic Cafe*

Friday, March 26, 2010

Last month, I've introduced here in the blog the Acoustic Café and I know I did a very lapsing introduction (sorry for that) so let me try to formally introduced you to them.

Acoustic Café is a group of artists who revives and perform great classical music and produces and compose new age music. Their music not only brings you a gentle feeling but also aspiring one, their mesmerizing and soothing and deep . Induced with their famed talents, these people are truly amazing . First to introduce from the group is Norihiro Tsuru, a violinist and a composer who his works have appeared in many anime series but his piece 'Last Carnival' was the very famous work he had made in one of their albums, it was also the very first piece that I heard from this group that I featured last month, and it was like love at first sight when I heard it. Next we have, Yuriko Nakamura, a composer & a pianist. Well, I really didn't know that she was a member of this group but I know some of her works and yes, it was something worth the souls to hear, I love how mysterious her music sounds it always left me a lingering effect from it. Then we have Yoshihiko Maede, a cellist , Yuri Hiranuma a pianist and many various artists. What I like more from this group is that each members brings their own individuality in their music and brought them to us by our ears…which is a true bliss.
 For Your MemoriesFor Your Loneliness
This group, nonetheless, continued to compose their own stage in the musical world, resurrected music of many forgotten and infamous artist of the past and performed to us the never dying classical music of all time.  Their one of many people I truly do admire not just by their talent but also for bringing us this music.

Hope you enjoy some of their noted works.

The Great Side of Things

by *Lucy-art

I feel a little bit inspired now.

I just read a great blog post a while ago entitled F.E.A.R by Bridget LeRoy, and it give me a bit encouragement to face something I'm scared of now. The truth is, I just failed my 2nd term in my third year in college, it was really embarrassing and heart breaking for me because it was really a first time that I failed in my major class, I feel sad because that class was a prerequisite to our Psychiatric exposure for my course requirements and out of 103 students who took the course 20+ students have failed and I was part of it not to mention that I only lack 2 points to pass it. Well, I did try to persuade my professors to give me a chance or anything that could help me pull my grades and that took me a week of begging, we even went to our college dean's house late at night to beg but still it was hopeless. I guess it was partly my fault why I did not give more of my effort. But now, I finally accepted that fact, it was really depressing and all since my parents are expecting so much from me but I'm glad that they understand. My Mom, said 'Everything happens for a reason,' I know she said that part because she wants to comfort me since I was more depressed than her, but I wish she would have scolded me to help me to be more serious but it was also a good that she didn't. I feel a little relieve now to confess this. Maybe I should try to look on the great side of things besides maybe taking that class second time around would be more easy now since I'm already familiar with it,haha...lol.

I'm blabbering more now than what my usual entry should be but I guess I just want to share this shameful story of mine. Sorry for that.

Bach: The Art of Fugue

Anyway here's my treat to share with you guys, it's Bach's famous piece. I hope you feel a bit inspired and encourage of it and thanks for reading this blog entry.

Taiwanese Movie | Secret

Angel |

I've been watching this movie just a while ago, the movie is entitled 'Secret', it's actually a Taiwanese movie that a friend of mine recommended (Thanks Gitak!) and it was really thanks to him that I was able to get to know this movie. I say it really is a great one, the movie is full of classical musics soundtrack and some new music that are new to me, especially the original soundtrack of the movie were all good. I guess it's the best Taiwanese movie I have watched. I wish everyone can also see it because really, you wouldn't regret it!

I'm gonna share to you one of the soundtracks of the movie and I think this one is really cute and calming. Really, I totally recommend that you watch the movie! Hope you like listening to this one!

Vivaldi | Four Seasons

Sunday, March 7, 2010

Now here's a request from a good friend of mine, Ivana, the Four Seasons by Antonio Vivaldi, who had have his 332nd birthday last 4th of this month, I wouldn't have actually known that it was his birthday if Ivana wouldn't have told me. Anyway for a brief review about him, Antonio Vivaldi was a violin virtuoso and was also known as the Red Priest who is famous of his four violin concerti who he named as Four Seasons which he entitled the each one of seasons to his four pieces.

I also found this really great picture by *astarvinartist from DeviantArt and it really somehow matched Vivaldi's Four Seasons. Well, hope you like it!

ARASHI Music Box Medley

Friday, March 5, 2010

I haven't post something in a while and it's already March. Anyway, as I said I was away this few weeks and I forgot to bring my laptop, I was gone visiting my grandma so really sorry for the late update.

Well, few weeks ago before I was out of town I found some of the songs of my fave Jpop (Japanese Pop Music) bands in music box version and of course I find it cute and soothing. Even if its not in music box version I really like their song. I would have shared this a little bit sooner but our internet connection at home was really bad so I was having a hard time uploading it. Anyway hope you like it!
