[OST]: With Some Honey & Clover

Friday, May 28, 2010

And so after a week of my being busy, I'm now finally free! Exams are over and I can finally return to my own world~ :D

Anyway, to commemorate the ending of my summer class, I want to share to everyone this bubbly album that I'm sure that you'll love. It's again, from my favorite anime Honey & Clover OST by Yuki Hayashi. These soundtrack album is something to adore or more cute to be precise, the tracks don't only contain the usual plain old instrumentals but it has its mixed of jazz & electronic vibe to it. Some the tracks still contain the relaxing classic tunes of instrumentals but it mostly consist of fresh new tracks that might be something new to you. It also contain vocals that makes it more interesting, it totally has its ambivalent feeling that you'll have because of the mixed genres of instrumentals so I think you'll not feel bored or sleepy listening to it. I wouldn't make this statement long so I hope you love this post! :D

To Love You More

Friday, May 21, 2010
Now this is something that I really have overlook many times already. I regret not posting this sooner but I guess it's better late than never.
I've heard this song many times already, I first started hearing it when I was in my grade school days but maybe my interest in music didn't really made me appreciate the song that much, all I know from that young age of mine is that the song was a theme song from a box office movie or that's what I had thought it was, then years after I heard it again in one of Celine Dion's concert that I saw on MTV but what made me more interested on the concert was that old guy playing the violin version of the song, I was utterly mesmerized by how great he played the song with his violin, at a young age I have deeply felt the beauty of the song and I was mystified by that old man who played it but then again I was young and didn't bother to know who was the violinist and then recently, I notice that my friend Shiho posted new albums of Taro Hakase, at first I ignore it...then I came back to that page again, reading the name again made me remember something that is blurred in my mind so I was intrigued by the thought of who he is so I decided to look him up at YouTube and then finally, I saw the same video I saw many years ago and I can't help to share it now to you guys!

I present to you guys one of the greatest performance of Taro Hakase (sorry for the exaggeration), the performance that made mesmerized again, To Love You More!
Haha...I seem to be exaggerating with what I'm saying now so forgive me, I'm just overwhelmed with the thought...Anyway, I'll be soon be posting his full album so watch out for it but for now, enjoy this wonderful piece.

[OST]: Nodame Cantabile

Thursday, May 20, 2010

Ever heard the title before? Yes or No? Well, for starters, this was first a comic book (Manga), then an Anime, then becomes a TV Series not only by one country but also by other neighboring country of it's original author's homeland. I wouldn't be amaze as to why this story has been revived many times already because it's a story full of humor, comedy, funny romance, classical music, music & more music but I do feel bad from the original comic book though, because the readers would have to enjoy listening in their imaginations the music played in the story.
Anyway, Nodame Cantabile is mainly a story about a girl named Megumi Noda or Nodame as what she wants people to call her, a very talented pianist or rather a genius that she, herself doesn't even notice, prefers to play by ears than reading music scores and literally dreams of becoming a preschool teacher other than that, she is messy, loves to eat-a-lot (to the point of even stealing her friends food), doesn't take bath for several days...sigh...on the other hand, we have our main guy lead, Shinichi Chiaki who, of course, the top of his class, an elite student, can play several instruments, an arrogant multi-ligual perfectionist and want to be a great conductor just like the person he admires the most when he was a child but here's the deal though, he have an extreme phobia for airplanes & ocean so his trapped in Japan with his great ambition. Now these people have lived in the same apartment complex and right next to each others door though they haven't seen each other a lot but due to some circumstances this two polar opposite people met by accident and....and...I suggest that you read or watch the story, hehe, too much spoilers will be enough to tease you to do so.

Nodame Cantabile: Best 100

Anyway, this is my compilation of some of my favorite tracks from the soundtrack though I only didn't include all the original soundtracks, especially the classic ones but I hope you will enjoy my personal recommended tracks. Enjoy!

Fresh Break with Emiri Miyamoto

Wednesday, May 5, 2010

It's always been my pleasure to share to everyone the kind of music that I love. Nevertheless that I expect that many people would agree to it. In some ways, listening to music has become more insensitive to the ears, maybe because we are hearing almost the same kind of thing every now and then so I hope today's featuring artist & album will give you a fresh break!

This album is by Emiri Miyamoto, if you ask me about her, well I'm still on the process but a bit info about her is that her father, Fumiaki Miyamoto , was renowned oboe player. Classically been trained to be a violinist, she have studied at Germany for ten years at the young age of seven (sorry that's all I still know about her).

Anyway, I want to thank my new dear friend Shiho, the owner of New Age Paradise, for sharing me this album…It's really a refreshing album with new great sensation of new age music that I know, you'll surely love, endowed with great violin skills our female artist here I doubt that you'll feel bored listening to the tracks so without furthermore adieu, Enjoy!

[OST]: Endless Love ~ Spring Waltz

Monday, May 3, 2010

Have you watch this Korean drama series yet? I hope you'll do soon. It's a series that will make you fall in love not just to the whole story itself but also with its music cause I myself is an example already(smile)...I really do and for those of who have also watched this series, I know you feel the same (agree?).

Anyway, Spring Waltz is actually the last part from the Endless Love collection series. Unlike the previous drama series from the collection, this one has a different side to it, it not only focuses on music but it also as well pave the way of the most Korean New Age artist such as Yiruma & Chong Park and I enjoyed listening to the soundtracks of the series because of the mix classical and new age tracks.

Enough with my chattering words here. So to complete the collection itself here is a compilation of its soundtrack . By all means, Enjoy! (And oh, please let me know what you think?)

Love & Longing

Sunday, May 2, 2010

From my most love Korean movie of all time, My Sassy Girl, here's a soundtrack from the movie.
It's beautiful yet sad but nonetheless a wonderful melody. Don't you agree?
If you haven't yet still watch the movie, I suggest you watch it now, it's not really a music movie but I nice movie to change your pace. The soundtracks are good and catchy and has a refreshing breeze to it. Anyway hope you enjoy this track.

[FEATURE]: Enya

I guess this is my very first post about her. I had three of her albums stock in my hard drive but I guess I wasn't been able to feature any of her music until today. I don't know if you know anything about her but I doubt if you don't know any of her works or even listened to one. Now if you're wondering what I'm saying will read this.

(Info credits to wikipedia) Eithne Ní Bhraonáin better known as Enya, is an Irish vocalist, Instrumentalist & composer. She began her musical career in 1980, when she briefly joined her family band Clannad, before leaving to pursue her solo career.Shortly afterward, her 1988 album Watermark propelled her to further international fame and she became known for her unique sound, characterised by voice-layering, folk melodies, synthesised backdrops and ethereal reverberations. She continued to enjoy steady success during the 1990s and 2000s; her 2000 album A Day Without Rain sold 15 million copies and she was named the world's best selling female artist of 2001. She is Ireland's best-selling solo artist and is officially the country's second-largest musical export after the band U2. Her album sales stand at 70 million as of 2009, with over 26 million in album sales in the US. Her work has earned her, among other things, four Grammy awards and an Academy Award nomination. She has performed in 10 different languages during her career thus far.

Still wondering who she is? Well, here's the shortest info I can give, she is actually the person behind most of the soundtrack & musical background of the well famous movie The Lord of the Rings trilogy. In the New Age world of music, she is the most well known for being able to showcase her talent in the whole world that even got her won many awards including Grammy's.

The Very Best Of EnyaAnd Winter CameA Day Without Rain

Now here is one of of the tracks from her album Paint The Sky With Stars that I really love. It's really an overwhelming music, beautiful, elegant and captivating. A true masterpiece by Enya.
