Random Songs of Hikaru Utada

Sunday, August 29, 2010

Hello my dear visitors and friends! How is everyone, I hope everyone is doing well and not that really busy because I'm sure am busy here on my side thanks to school works, my thesis, and my preparation for next month's OJT (where I'll be living at the other side of my country for more than a month) so I might be gone for a while but I promise that I will not leave this blog empty for next month because I'm preparing already some scheduled post to fill in my absence. But I wish I'll hear something from you guys because next month is actually a special occasion for this blog, you might as well have guessed it but still, your messages and  comments are great source of encouragement for me.

So for tonights treat, I give you some random song instrumentals of Hikaru Utada. Have you heard of her? She is actually quite popular in States and Europe. An American- Japanese singer, song writer and producer. She's one of my favorite Japanese singers ever since high school. I feel in love with her 'First Love' the very first time I've heard it, the lyrics of the song was truly emotional and the instrumentals is sure bliss that's why I'm very glad when I accidentally found some instrumental versions of her songs especially First Love. I'll stop my talking here so I hope you enjoy this post! Good night =)

Friday, August 27, 2010

Now it's Ji Ye An's Minor Island. This is my first post about her and her music and honestly I'm totally at lost about any more details about her. I've tried goggling her at the internet but nothing pops any information about her...she's kinda more a mysterious artist for me but I promise to let you know if I ever found something about her.

It's actually a volume one album, so you'll soon expect the second part of it sometime. So for now, enjoy this post! =)

Heartwarming Sounds [Part III]

Saturday, August 21, 2010

It's heartwarming sound again everyone! So today's treat is a soundtrack from a really adorable cute Korean movie that I watch a long time ago.

It's My Little Bride instrumental soundtrack. This romantic comedy movie is really a cute one. Because of the promise made by the girl's grandfather and the boy's grandfather 'that they will marry their children together' but because of their children's were both boys, that promise has been past down to their grandchildren and now the girl has to marry the brother she had always thought to-be and that is actually almost a decade older than her and the what's more troubling thing is that her husband is her school's new teacher. It's a hilarious film between an arranged marriage of a ordinary teen-age school girl and her new school teacher and their struggles as they hid that they are actually married. It's really a cute movie and I was awing a lot when I first watch it. I hope you watch it soon, hehe;p

Studio Ghibli | My Neighbor Totoro

Thursday, August 19, 2010

So I decided to put a whole album sample for Studio Ghibli's works and of course I'm ecstatic with the whole idea since I got almost all of their albums, yahoo for me, hehe...so anyway for my first Studio Ghibli Soundtracks to share, I give you My Neighbor Totoro!

My Neighbor Totoro is an 1988 film written and directed by none other than Hayao Miyazaki and produced by Studio Ghibli. It's actually a story about a two girls and their father who moved home near to where their mother is hospitalized. After their settlement, the younger sister played and saw two rabbit-like creatures, she then followed it in the forest until she met the large version of that rabbit-like being...she then named it Totoro which she wants to mean as 'troll' only she mispronounced it and later been found out that he is the Keeper of the Forest, sort like the Spirit of the forest. It follows the adventure of the two girls and their newly found spirit friends. At first, I thought the movie was strangely weird and beautiful. This animation movie sure brings back a child's imagination. When I first watch this film, it made me feel like I was a kid again...the whole imaginary concept of the movie was truly wonderful and great, it's a like a true kid's mind wrote the story itself. Totoro, the forest spirit is really an adorable character...I suddenly remembered when I watch Toy Story 3 that I saw Totoro in one of the little girl's stuff toys...it really made me say 'awe' out-loud until I realized that I was the only one reacting to it at the cinema, I would totally choose Totoro over the Care Bear stuff toys if you'd ask me...hahaha:D It's truly an exciting and childhood reminiscing movie. You just can't help but love this movie.

The soundtracks is a work by Joe Hisaishi, I hope you wouldn't have any question about him since I already said something about this great man before in my previous post. An any rate, ENJOY THIS TREAT!

Kyoji Ohno | Music for the Mind ~ Positive Outlook

Friday, August 13, 2010

Now here I have I special surprise for you friends, it's a music by Kyoji Ohno. Truth is, I just recently know him but after listening to some of his music, I regret not knowing him a lot more earlier but no sense for whining about it.

So who is this guy again? Now, I only got little information about him but as what my little research has told me he is fairly not that of an artist who have studied his life learning to play piano or violin or whatsoever, maybe took some lessons but not for main profession of sorts. Yasuhito Ohno or better known as Kyoji Ohno was born in Japan but grow up in the Big Apple, which I mean of course New York City. So what so good about him, well that would be that this guy is a total genius with his way in 3D and digital sounds. Using modern way of making music, this guy got the talent of making beautiful unique sound that will give you the sense of nature and by the way, he owns his own studio to make his compositions and digital sounds. He excels in Midi programming and acoustical orchestration. That is the far most things I know about him. Info credits to IMDB.com.

Short Story

Hear and revitalize your mind with the sound of nature and various instruments of Kyoji Ohno.So please do enjoy this treat by him.

One More Time, One More Chance

Thursday, August 12, 2010

This is actually a soundtrack instrumental from an Anime movie I've watch years ago and I suddenly got reminded of it when Shiho posted the theme song of it in Facebook...somehow it reminded me everything about the movie. The movie is actually entitled '5 Centimeters Per Second' it's a strange title somehow but the movie is totally great, it has a slice of life and reality sense in it, like how doing something and not doing anything makes a difference and the story itself is very well written. Another thing I like the movie is that it has many point of views in life which might give yourself a second thoughts to reconsider and how sometimes letting go might be your best option to move forward. I really fell in love with it so I suggest that you better watch it now...hehe;p

I love what the title of the song signifies, kind of sad but the message it says is I guess what everyone wishes to have once in their life. Anyway, enjoy this treat! Good day.

Adagio ~ Music For Relaxation

Sunday, August 8, 2010

I got the heck this days for listening classical music...luckily I found this site that shares great classical albums. So I downloaded a few and I really like the one I'm currently obsessed with now, it's all in Adagio by the various famous classical artists we know and of course I wouldn't want to listen to all of this goods all by myself so here I am sharing it you.

Meditation: Music for Relaxation and DreamingNow I'm kinda wondering if you know what Adagio mean? That is not a question really for those classical music enthusiast but I want to make a brief definition to it so that others might have their idea about it. 'Adagio', which I always awfully mispronounced every time as 'Adaigo' (wrong spelling by the way), is actually an Italian word for 'at ease' or a tempo marking indicating that the music is to be played slowly (Wikipedia). So this tracks from the album that I'm gonna share with you are all Adagio from famous pieces of classical artists.

by Tomaso Albinoni
by Wolfgang A. Mozart
by George Frideric Handel
by Edvard Grieg
by Modest Mussorgsky
by Samuel Barber
by Camille Saint-Saens
by Franz Schmidt
by Johann Sebastian Bach
by Joaquin Rodrigo
Adagio from Spartacus
by Aram Khachaturian

I hope you enjoyed today's post. Good day.

[OST]: My Daddy Long Legs

Saturday, August 7, 2010

Daddy Long Legs, it's one of my loved novel of all time. It's the very first novel that I finished with one reading that I even forgot to eat dinner that day. Let me say this first, this is not actually the soundtrack of that 1955 version of Daddy Long Legs okay because I haven't watch that one yet and am still currently looking where could I watch it. Sigh.

Anyway, today's post is from the soundtrack of the Korean Movie version of Daddy Long Legs. With slightly change plot and the funny additional characters, this movie is actually a modern version of the novel. I really liked it a lot and enjoyed the scenes but it goes with out the saying that this one has its twist that somehow you wouldn't be happy about, oh well, I wouldn't spoil you with too much info about it but it's a good movie to watch if your a big fan of the novel.

Oh, may I remind you that most the tracks has voice narration with it, the soundtrack already had it in so I hope you won't mind and I know that most of it sounds so similar but regarding their track titles they were actually name after a specific scene in the movie.Anyway, just enjoy this dreamy soundtrack my friends! Good day.

TMB's Surprise Treat

Friday, August 6, 2010

I woke up early today and I couldn't help it to not to stay awake because of an email I just have received a while ago and that my blog has been recommended to be featured at TeacherStreet.com and I happen to hear that to the Featured Blogger Coordinator of TeacherStreet.com himself. Also, I've been noticing from my Feedjit that their are a lot of people that are subscribing and has bookmarked my blog (I feel a lot grateful today) so as thanks, I want to express my gratitude thus I'm making this surprise treat for whomever made all this possible~you!

Dream Waltz | Say You Love Me
 Peace World

It's actually from a Taiwanese drama before that I watched, entitled It Started A Kiss, it's totally a hilarious romantic comedy TV series about a naive girl who got rejected after confessing to the school's NO, it's nation's number one genius with an IQ of 200 in front of the whole people in school, her bad luck doesn't just end to that because  after moving to their newly finished house, they have to move again into their family friend house after it has collapsed from a low-intensity earthquake and guess whom she is moving in to live?! It's the guy that she confessed to just that day. This is enough of a spoiler I guess, you should watch the series for the rest.

Anyway, It's really a funny and sweet drama to watch, I wish you watch it also, and the soundtrack also is so cute so I hope this will brighten up your day. Hope you enjoy this surprise treat.

Thanks again everyone!

Yiruma | First Love

Sunday, August 1, 2010

Have you ever experience the thing that they call 'Love'? Such a cliche thing to ask but if you give me that question, I say 'Yes' of course since I love my family, my friends, my cat, etc...Haha, such a way of answering but seriously though I still have not yet experience the actual thing but I do 'love' the character of Leopold from the movie "Kate & Leopold"...such my dream prince. Sigh. (*.*)

So enough with my own delusions. Anyway, I have you guys another treat from Yiruma with his album First Love. I kinda 'love' love this album because I find the titles of each track intriguing, somehow, it just gives me the idea that each one expresses a feeling and thoughts they had experience of 'Love'. I don't know if you get what I mean but I can't find the exact words to describe my thoughts but regardless of that I just hope you enjoy this treat.
Fall in love & Good day everyone!

First Love (Repackage)
